An air filter is designed to remove airborne dust particles from the air in the workshop.  They are compact, lightweight and very quiet in operation. They are capable of running for long periods of time, whilst you work and for best results, left running for a while after the dust producing activity has finished.

When in operation they quietly filter the air, trapping dust particles in the filters.

Most wood workers have had experience of leaving the workshop nice and tidy, but then returning the next day to discover a film of dust has settled on all horizontal surfaces overnight. An air cleaner will prevent completely or drastically minimise that phenomenon.

The quiet 95W motor produces an airlfow of 760 cubic metres per hour on maximum speed. It is recommended that the air in a workshop is cycled through the filter a minimum of 6 times per hour and 10 times per hour for peak performance. Calculate the volume of your workshop to check what airlfow is required. As a guide, this unit is perfect for a double garage sized workshop. For a single garage sized workspace just use it on low speed.

The air passes through an electrostatic pre-filter then into the main pleated filter, filtering 98% of all particles 5 microns in size and 86% of all particles 1 micron in size.

Eventually, the filters will become clogged causing the airflow to drop. The AF760 constantly monitors the airflow and has a built in alarm system, beeping sound and flashing lights on the control panel, to warn when the filter is clogged. The filters can then be cleaned or replaced.

The AF760 can be bench mounted or shelf mounted, but works best when ceiling mounted, suspended on the chains. The chains and hooks are included.

When ceiling mounted the control panel with the On/Off buttons may be out of reach. To overcome that, a remote control handset is included. It can turn the filter On or Off and select from the 3 speeds.

The remote handset can also be used to set the countdown timer. There are three settings: 1, 2 or 4 hours. The countdown timer can be used to clean the workshop air after work has finished for the day, even when you are not there.

Supplied with batteries for the remote handset, 1.6m cable and UK 3 pin plug.

An air cleaner should be used in conjunction with a dust extractor for maximum dust control.
